MIB acquires the Kaschwig Group

The Wuppertal-based MIB Industriebeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG acquires the noise protection specialist based in Muensterland on May 15, 2020. The company develops and produces individual solutions for numerous industries. From now on, MIB will accompany and support its new subsidiary to develop strategically, production-wise and organizationally and to face the challenges of the future.
Wuppertal, May 19, 2020. About one year after its foundation, the Wuppertal-based MIB Industriebeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG has acquired its first companies for the purpose of long-term succession and continuation. The acquisition of R. Kaschwig Schallschutztechnik GmbH and Kaschwig GmbH & Co. KG, based in Sendenhorst in the Muensterland region, was carried out as part of a succession plan planned at an early stage. Together with the former owners of the family business, MIB is supporting the company, which was established in 1978. “Success needs tranquility: this is the motto of the Kaschwig Group. We are pleased that this also applies symbolically and that the future of the company is being planned with prudence and foresight. Our succession concept, which is geared towards sustainable, profitable further development, was convincing,” says Robert Spartmann, managing partner of MIB together with Christoph Borges.
Strongly positioned in the niche market

Kaschwig Schallschutztechnik GmbH plans, designs and manufactures tailor-made products at its own site in the fields of noise, dust and emission protection, accident and occupational safety, machine and plant protection as well as laser and welding protection. Using growth potential
The MIB shareholders regard the successful conclusion of business despite unsteady times due to the Corona pandemic as an important sign for medium-sized companies: “We are always available to companies as a reliable partner,” says Christoph Borges. “Facing new challenges together with our future-oriented subsidiary and seizing opportunities for considered growth is something we look forward to.” Both noise and environmental protection are relevant future markets, he adds. Andreas Kaschwig, previous and also future managing director, emphasizes: “We deliberately decided to sell to MIB, as their overall concept has convinced us in the long term. About R. Kaschwig Schallschutztechnik GmbH
In 1978, graduate engineer Rudolf Kaschwig founded a one-man consulting office for noise protection in industry at the Muenster site, which very quickly expanded into a production company and established itself as a competent partner for numerous industries at home and abroad. Core competencies are the planning, design and manufacture of solutions for noise, accident and plant protection. At the company headquarters in Sendenhorst, built in 1980, around 50 qualified specialists are currently working in production, assembly and sales. The innovative noise protection concepts, tailored to individual customer requirements, are created on site in a production area of around 3,500 square meters. After the death of the founder in 1993, his children Andreas Kaschwig and Gabriela Grunenberg (née Kaschwig) took over the management of the medium-sized family business and continued its steady, healthy growth. Since that time, the company has expanded its production areas and continuously invested in new manufacturing equipment and technologies.
