MIB concludes contract for the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Paletti Group in Minden

Wuppertal-based MIB Industriebeteiligungen GmbH & Co. KG has signed a contract for the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Paletti Group head-quartered in Minden including all operational real estate, as part of a succession plan. The Paletti Group is an international manufacturer of profile systems, precision and measuring equipment made of aluminium profiles.
Due to the wide range of further processing options provided by a modern CNC machinery and excellent manufacturing quality, there is a high demand from the automotive industry, the mechanical engineering sector, logistic compa-nies and the automation technology sector. In addition to two locations in Germany, the Paletti Group consists of two independently operating subsidiaries. MIB will accompany the management of the Paletti companies in their further grow and their future strategic orientation.
Quality and precision
With the realization of the acquisition of 100% of the shares in the Paletti Group in Minden MIB Industriebeteiligungen will be increasingly involved in international business. The MIB team and its network will also support the Paletti Group, now MIB’s fourth investment, in matters of strategic and operational development. The Paletti Group offers a wird range of more than 450 different profiles and fasteners, which are sold individually or as complete system solutions. Laser cabins for high-performance applications and master blocks for the automotive industry, testing systems for the TÜV or high-precision conveying equipment for the logistics industry. These applications are examples for the numerous system solutions that the Paletti Group offers for the different industries. The fundamentals are the same in all cases: quality, durability and precision. There are hardly any limits to the applications of the aluminium profile systems. This is not only ensured by the state-of-the-art CNC machinery, but also by the dedicated workforce of the Paletti Group and 20 national and international commercial agencies. The products not only convince automotive manufacturers, but also listed industrial groups, international e-commerce businesses and furnishing groups. The company’s own claim to quality and excellence is underlined by its DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 certifications, as well as the TISAX certificate, a proof of high information security standards and data integrity.
Numerous growth opportunities
Paletti was founded more than 30 years ago by Mr. Helmuth Kahl and rapidly developed into an importan market player. While its competitors tended to focus more on the sale of the pure modular profile systems, Mr. Kahl developed diverse system solutions for his customers. In the field of laser protection cabins, he can now call himself a recognized technology leader. In his cabins, high-power lasers are used to connect car body parts or to produce components for the e-mobility. The possibilities of its modular profile system are far from exhausted today and offer a wide range of applications in the field of automation technology as well as linear technology.
In recent year the Paletti Group has achieved an average turnover of around € 25 million with a workforce of around 160 (including apprentices). Despite the international development of the company, Paletti has still remained a family business. Precisly beucase of this corporate culture, it was important for Mr. Kahl to find a partner at eye level who understands the concerns of the employees and structures. “In MIB we have found a partner who has intensivly dealt with our business model as well as with the employees and structures. MIB will further develop the company in the long term and continue my life’s work,” says Mr. Kahl.

Paletti was founded in 1990 with the first location in Minden in a new industrial park. It quickly became clear that further space was needed for expansion. As early as 2004, the opportunity arose to acquire a further 123,000 square meters of production and assembly space in neighboring Petershagen.
