MIB Partner Letter Spring 2024

Dear business partners and friends,
Internal strengthening, external expansion: this summarises our activities over the past few months. We have achieved a lot – time for an update.
In recent months, we have completed the generational change on the Supervisory Board. At the end of March 2024, we bid farewell to Rolf-Peter Rosenthal from the Board at a ceremony; a dignified occasion,
to express our sincere thanks to him for his multifaceted support in building up MIB. His successor as representative of the Jackstädt Foundation on the Supervisory Board is Dr Marc Kanzler. Hans-Peter Weitz has taken over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Felix Lukasch, Managing Director of the Argenta Group, remains associated with us as Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
We have further developed the organisation at holding company level. Alexander Schrul, a student trainee from the very beginning and investment manager, has been Commercial Director since 1 January 2024. Anyone who wants to make a difference and is willing to take on responsibility quickly will definitely find career opportunities in the industrial SME sector! Our Head of Technical Investment Management Thomas Bierlich, now also an authorised signatory of MIB since September 2023, supports our companies in strategic corporate development on site. Marlies Starke has been supporting us in the Accounting / Finance department since September 2023. Our working student Dorinda-Lee Heimbach as well as external colleagues and specialists
At the level of the existing companies, further development and optimisation were also ongoing processes last year.
- For example, the Kaschwig Group, a provider of noise and occupational safety solutions for a wide range of industries, optimised its organisation, strengthened its team with a new Technical Director and began building a new hall, which was completed a few weeks ago.
- Schwarz Abschirmtechnik was awarded the contract for pioneering reference projects in the medical technology sector, among others. In order to be able to cope with the upcoming growth and implement it flexibly, a major investment in machinery was initiated and the company property was acquired.
- VPT Frielinghaus continues to focus on sustainability in plastic packaging with a particular focus on recyclates. The company has invested in its own energy efficiency and was able to win well-known new customers with intelligent, cost-cutting solutions.
- The Paletti Group continued on its strategic path from component supplier to system provider, expanded its US business and acquired Hanke Prüftechnik in 2022 in order to expand its customer industries. Sven Reinke joined the management team as Commercial Director in February 2024.
We have promoted interaction, exchange and best practice within the Group. In doing so, we want to preserve the dynamism and operational independence of the companies and at the same time give them concrete advantages by being part of MIB.
