Thomas Bierlich becomes Head of Technical Investment Management at MIB Industriebeteiligungen

Thomas Bierlich has been Head of Technical Investment Management at MIB Industriebeteiligungen since September 2022. In the newly created position, he will be available as technical/organisational support for the existing companies in the MIB portfolio – whether it concerns new production steps, new machines or an overarching optimisation of production processes.

Thomas Bierlich most recently worked in investment management and for a long time as a member of the management board at GESCO AG in Wuppertal. Before that, the soon-to-be 60-year-old gained professional experience as a technical managing director in various areas and industries. His expertise ranges from strategic and operational corporate management to the planning and implementation of major investments and the restructuring of entire business divisions.

Thomas Bierlich describes himself as a generalist with a broad range of experience and a strong hands-on mentality. “In addition to the sustainable implementation of relevant optimisations and necessary change processes, there is one thing above all that is close to my heart,” says Thomas Bierlich, “and that is dealing with colleagues across all hierarchical levels in a respectful and trusting manner.
